At Brook Food we are proudly presenting the prestigious ‘Baker of the Year’ award again this year and are very excited to be doing so.
It is due to the fact this category showcases the very best Bakers and their businesses in the UK and it’s a great opportunity to see how individuals are adapting to market trends and being innovative within their field.

The award is aimed at professional bakers working in any size bakery business, there is a very wide scope which makes the category competitive and very interesting.

Seeing the candidates in their own surroundings and seeing their individual skills is a privilege.  When judging we look at not just practical skills and produce but also we look for an understanding of the candidates ultimate baking ambitions and achievements, despite it being a title for 2015 we see this award as a way of recognising a personality dedicated to their craft.

This is the second year we’ve  judged this top award and last year proved to be a great success all round. The eventual winner, Mark Bennett demonstrated not just a huge array of high standard skills but also had what stood out as a ‘wow factor’, he demonstrated exactly what this award is about and what we’ll be looking for again during 2015 – a deep routed passion for baking.

We have just passed our 20th anniversary year here at Brook and we are proud to be an integral element of the baking industry here in the UK, we see bakeries of all sizes and proudly offer more than just equipment supply, our test and trial facilities are second to none allowing companies an otherwise impossible chance to develop products using our facilities ahead of committing to machinery and investment.
