Aidan Chapman joins BATCH South west line up
Last chance to book for BATCH: South West as Aidan Chapman added to line up
With just one week until the Real Bread lovers’ event on 7 July, ‘The Dough Anarchist’ is the latest expert to be announced, and ticket sales end on Wednesday 4 July.
Run by the Real Bread Campaign and Brook Food, BATCH: South West is a must for professional bakers, ‘semi-pro’ microbakers, hobby homebakers who are hungry to bake with, learn from and meet other baking fanatics.
With a cereal CV including teaching at River Cottage HQ and Bread Ahead Baking School; and running his own Phoenix Bakery in Dorset, Aidan is currently head dough wrangler at Flint Owl Bakery in Somerset.
Drawing on more than 25 years’ experience as a professional, true artisan baker, Aidan will be running baking demos and sitting on a Q&A panel during the full day breadhead gathering near Taunton, Somerset.
He joins the expert lineup that also includes:
Madeleine's bakery founder Dilly Boase
Thoughtful Bread Company founder Duncan Glendinning
Season owner Adam Pagor
Emma’s Bread founder Emma Parkin
Real Bread Campaign coordinator Chris Young
In addition to the talks and demos on breadmaking, Duncan will be running sessions on cob oven building.

Attendees will have the chance to enter a raffle to raise funds for the Real Bread Campaign’s work. Prizes up for grabs include brilliant baking kit, vouchers from Brook Food, the World Bread Awards, and signed copies of Baking School: The Bread Ahead Cookbook, and the Real Bread Campaign’s own Slow Dough: Real Bread.
After the daytime event, there will be an optional outdoor evening social, including a hog roast and veggie feast around the bonfire, with live music and bar.
